So it turns out that if you are laying down mains water pipe it has to be at least 70cm deep or it freezes in winter and bursts.. And, I have dug a trench about 20cm's deep...
I've been putting together the darkroom slowly; trying to put in the sinks, buying so much stuff (loads of plumbing), deciding to repaint the room, waiting for sunny days to move stuff out and then in,, then this happens. 70cm will take me down into the chalk which is a nightmare to dig by hand and so I'll have to get some kind of digger in and that my erstwhile internet friends isn't something I can afford right now.
So we have a hiatus whilst I get myself back on my feet financially (see last post about balance and money and actually quite enjoying being part of a wider system (but not being a slave to it, see the first post (so confusing already, you wait until I've been doing this for some years!))). However, it looks like something has come along to enable the balance and the funds so its all good, this is a journey.
Also (this is quite a big also), Oscar, Martine and myself (as well as two very cool Tring families) are off to Thailand tomorrow for three weeks which is quite exciting. So expect some Thai related posts of street and natural landscape. As they say in Thailand apparently -
- Be as diligent as an ant
Which maybe I wasn't when researching laying mains water pipes.. See you when we're back in Blighty.
